Mixed Media &
Boxed Constructions
Meredith: I love working with two dimensional art but I also feel the need to create in a three dimensional process. I really enjoy collecting unrelated materials, many of which most people are ready to discard. Working with a set theme with a large variety of "found objects," I create Altar Pieces that pay homage to animals and other subjects I feel are important. I use a wide range of techniques including wood burning, applied fabric, painting, and clay or other mediums which can be modeled. The fully sculpted animals, such as my crows, are done in paper mache.
